Free Weekend Shuttles from Downtown Pittsburgh
The USGA will offer spectators complimentary shuttle service from the North Side T Station in downtown Pittsburgh to and from the U.S. Open Championship on Saturday and Sunday. The first shuttles will depart at 5:30 a.m. and run every 15 minutes until the conclusion of play each day. Paid parking will be available at nearby lots and parking decks.
With anticipated capacity crowds and a promising weather report, U.S. Open officials encourage ticketed spectators to take advantage of the comfortable rides from the station, located at 668 West General Robinson Street, within close proximity to PNC Park. Buses will deliver spectators to Gate 1.
The complimentary Blue and Red parking lots will also be fully operational and running on schedule through the weekend, as well as the Passenger, Taxi or Limousine Drop off at the Tenth Street Elementary School location in Plum Borough. Play will begin at 7 a.m. at storied Oakmont Country Club Saturday, followed by third-round play later in the day.
Spectators should plan for possible muddy conditions on Saturday morning, following this week's rainstorms. With temperatures anticipated to reach the mid-80s, sunscreen in 3-oz. containers and 24-oz. transparent, empty water bottles will be permitted inside the gates. Complimentary hydration stations will be located at First Aid stations throughout the Oakmont grounds.
Fox Sports' coverage of the 116th U.S. Open Championship begins at 7:30 a.m. on FS1 Saturday, before switching to the Fox network at 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. EDT., and switching back to FS1 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
